1 January 2008 - 2:58A warm welcome
So… jumping on the World of Warcraft blogging bandwagon out of boredom.
I’m Elysiane, undead priest of Haomarush EU (TEAM HORDE REPRESENT). Elysiane is the character I consider my main, however, I can be found on my blood elf huntress Sareya or troll shaman Kaliah on the side.
I have experience with all widely accepted priest specs to some extent, both in healing and damage dealing (except I’ve always refused to go LOLSMITE, but that’s another story entirely, ugh priests who abused bugged SoL specs while boasting about their damage). While I love healing in all shapes and forms, I should say I enjoy being a battleground/arena healer most. There is something fun about PvP healing that surpasses the predictability of healing raid encounters – pre-TBC I have experience with all 40-mans to some extent, and post-TBC Karazhan, Gruul’s, a little bit of ZA and SSC/TK, and while I love raiding, PvE healing does not provide the adrenaline rush.
In line with my love for healing, Kaliah the shaman is enjoying a 0/5/56 spec. I have been 1-60 elemental on her pre-TBC and loathed it, did 60-70 as enhancement and hated it even more, as far as I am concerned there is only shaman spec and that is resto. I reckon if I had done the old world as enhancement and Outland as elemental (because this is what the gear supports) maybe I would have enjoyed it more, but my shaman was my first ever character and a great many nubbin mistakes were made with her.
My huntress Sareya is the character on which I do the whole big numbers show – she’s a 41/20/0 raiding BM hunter who regularly tops damage in our weekly Karazhan clears. I pride myself on her abilities, because for a character who has never been in anything beyond Karazhan (if you don’t count a single ZA attempt) she can sure go toe to toe with toons a lot better geared than her.
Other than that, I’ve got a lot of alts in the 30+ bracket. Rochalie, 53 paladin, being the highest (did I mention I love healing?). There’s Starlet, upcoming resto druid (level 34), Shadowmist the lock (level 41), Kielle the baby mage (level 38). And last but not least Clarity, the little one, 11 blood elf priest. She would be shadow originally with Elysiane switching between heavy disc (PvP) and heavy holy (PvE) as needed, but since I took the leap recently and went shadow on Ely with the intention to stay there awhile, leveling her is on hold right now.
I did the whole raiding scene before and after TBC as mentioned before, in a quite hardcore way for a while (raiding 6-7 days a week and attending most if not all progression raids) but due to guild drama and raiding burnout I quietly took my leave from my beloved guild a couple of months after TBC hit. At the moment my bony undead ass is planted in a small guild formed by some of my former guildies, doing the weekly 10-man with friends, arena-ing it up, leveling and gearing various alts, and generally nubbing around.
So I guess that would be it for an intro post? Stay tuned for more!
