About
Misadventures of a Priest is where Elysiane, undead priestess of Haomarush EU and night elf druid of Grim Batol EU, rants about the life and times of her five level 70s three level 80s, plus a smattering of lowbie alts.
A roster of my girls:
Elysiane, my undead priest, is my first love. While my second character ever to be rolled, I warmed up to her really quickly and she ended up becoming my main. I raided a lot with her pre-TBC in a really great guild I’m proud to have been a part of. We cleared both 20-mans, MC and BWL, did 3-4 bosses in AQ40 and Raz in Naxx. TBC hit, guild started moving in a direction my friends and I didn’t entirely like – we disagreed with management, we quit and focused mostly on PvP. After Wrath, I did a lot of pre 3.1 raiding on her, but she is currently retired.
Here is Luminaria, my Alliance main and furry tank, and 50% of the reason Elysiane is retired. Lumi was rolled way after all of my Horde characters, and by that time I was tired of tanking and ready to try something different. I’ve always enjoyed the druid versatility, and I’ve always enjoyed tanking, so rolling a feral druid was an easy choice. I’ve tanked most Wrath content with her, and I’m always looking for a challenge.
Elisse is the other 50% of the reason Ely is retired, and currently pretty close to becoming my new Alliance main, being that I’m a priest at heart. While primarily disc, I’m also trying to re-learn holy and making headway. She raids just as much as Lumi does, and I’m planning to get back into disc PvP when the next season hits.
Meet Kaliah, my first ever character. I was a little newbie who had no idea what to play – I just knew that I wanted something that could damage enemies from range, but heal too, and my then-boyfriend convinced me to roll a troll shaman (back then, I thought taurens looked weird, undeads were creepy, and orcs were just plain ugly, heh). I like certain aspects of the class but somehow never entirely warmed up to it. At level 52, following an explosion of my then-guild, I rolled Elysiane and never looked back.
Sareya is my hunter girl, along with Swifteye, her trusty cat. I rolled her just to try out blood elves and have a farming alt (for those occasions where I needed lots of primals, and farming with Elysiane was a horrible experience I wouldn’t wish upon anyone – months before 2.3 when healing gear didn’t have +damage on it just yet). But along the way I started liking the class, started reading theorycraft, put some real effort onto gearing her up…. and today, there she is, topping any and all damage charts thrown at her and doing a little PvP on the side.
Ah, Rochalie, the paladin I promised myself I’d never roll. Being a Hordie at heart, when TBC hit I vowed to never make a paladin, that easy mode, annoying class that bubbled and ran around with big maces all the time. But well, did I mention I’m a healer at heart? What with paladins being the ever-popular raid and arena healers when TBC first hit, I got curious, and finally rolled one. Fast forward 6 months, Rochalie is finally 70, and paladins are no longer the preferred raid/arena healers. /facepalm. Oh well, at least I got an extremely enjoyable class to play out of it, and a part time tank.
Being such a healer at heart and having leveled 3 out of the 4 healing classes ingame, it was unavoidable that I’d finally level the fourth, and there was Starlet the tree. Druids being such strong arena healers was a bonus. I leveled her up fairly fast and I’m not sure where I want to go with her yet – aside from lots of PvP, which all my other characters also do on a regular basis.
…oh, and a smattering of alts I am yet to mention.
About my guild:
Love Vendor on Haomarush EU is a small, great guild of friends, most of whom have known each other for 2-3 years ingame. Some of us have also met in real life numerous times. Most of us used to be part of a larger guild and as mentioned above raided for a long time with them. But time passed, disagreements happened, and some of us found refuge in our new, “everyone does their own thing” casual guild. Over time, we made new friends who elected to join us, we had those who left us for greener pastures, but we still managed to keep an amazing group of people together.
Now we have fun running various 10-mans, PvPing together, and leveling even more alts. We might be small, we might be casual, and not particularly excel at one thing – but I love wearing the Love Vendor guildtag, and I’m proud of what we made.
C Is For Cookie on Grim Batol EU is just our resurrection of LV on our new server, since the name was already taken.
In real life:
I’m a twenty-one year old female, currently studying computer engineering and enjoying all things geeky.
